Statement of Faith
These truths guide our teaching, worship, and life as a community of faith.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, true, trustworthy, and the supreme authority for Christian faith and life.
Biblical Basis
2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; John 17:17; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 24:35; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12.
We believe in one eternal God, Creator of all things, who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Biblical Basis
Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalm 90:2; Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 1:1–3.
We believe God created the heavens, the earth, and all that exists by the power of His word. Humanity was created in God’s image, with dignity, purpose, and the responsibility to glorify Him and care for His creation.
Although sin corrupted and distorted that image, God restores humanity in Christ. All creation displays His power, wisdom, and glory. We also believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, participated in creation and sustains all things by His power.
Biblical Basis
Genesis 1:1, 26–31; Genesis 2:7, 15; Genesis 9:6; Psalm 19:1; Psalm 33:6–9; John 1:1–3; Colossians 1:16–17; Hebrews 11:3; Revelation 4:11.
We believe sin entered the world through human disobedience and that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Sin brought spiritual separation and death, affecting humanity’s relationship with God. Yet God offers forgiveness, reconciliation, and eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Biblical Basis
Genesis 3:1–19; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23; Isaiah 59:2; 1 John 1:9; 2 Corinthians 5:21.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully human. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily on the third day, conquered death, and offers eternal salvation to all who place their faith in Him.
Biblical Basis
John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 4:15; Isaiah 53:5–6; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Hebrews 2:14–15; John 3:16.
We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person of the Trinity, fully God, who dwells in every believer, convicts of sin, guides into all truth, strengthens, sanctifies, and transforms our lives to reflect the character of Christ.
Biblical Basis
Matthew 28:19; Acts 5:3–4; John 14:16–17, 26; John 16:8–13; Romans 8:9–11; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Ephesians 3:16; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; Galatians 5:22–23.
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received only through faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works.
Biblical Basis
Ephesians 2:8–9; John 3:16; John 14:6; Romans 10:9–10; Titus 3:5–7; Acts 4:12; Acts 5:31; Acts 11:18; 2 Timothy 2:25.
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ, called to worship God, grow spiritually, live in fellowship, and serve.
Biblical Basis
Ephesians 1:22–23; Ephesians 4:11–16; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Acts 2:42–47; Hebrews 10:24–25.
We believe the Church has been sent into the world to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, make disciples of all nations, baptize them, and teach them to obey all that Christ commanded, serving in love and living for the glory of God.
Biblical Basis
John 20:21; Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:18–20; Galatians 5:13; Matthew 5:16.
We believe Jesus Christ instituted two ordinances to be observed by His Church until His return:
As a public testimony of faith in Christ and the believer’s new life.
Matthew 28:19–20; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:36–38; Romans 6:3–4; Colossians 2:12.
As a remembrance of His sacrifice and a proclamation of His death until He returns.
Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26.
We believe every believer is called to live a life of holiness, obedience, and love, continually growing in relationship with God through the work of the Holy Spirit, who transforms us into the image of Christ.
Biblical Basis
1 Peter 1:15–16; Romans 12:1–2; Galatians 2:20; Philippians 2:12–13; John 15:4–5; John 13:34–35; 1 John 2:3–6; 2 Corinthians 3:18.
We believe the Holy Spirit sovereignly gives spiritual gifts to every believer for building up the Church, serving others, and glorifying God.
These gifts should be exercised with love, faithfulness, and according to Scripture, to strengthen the body of Christ and exalt the name of God.
Biblical Basis
1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Romans 12:4–8; Ephesians 4:11–13; 1 Corinthians 14:12, 26; 1 Peter 4:10–11.
We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will return to fulfill all His promises and fully establish His eternal Kingdom.
We also believe in eternal life with God for all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ, a hope that strengthens our faith, encourages us to persevere, and moves us to live for the glory of God.
Biblical Basis
John 14:1–3; John 3:16; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Titus 2:13; 1 Peter 1:3–5; 1 John 5:11–13; Revelation 1:7; Revelation 21:1–4.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people. Those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ will receive eternal life and live forever with God, while those who reject Christ will face God’s righteous judgment.
We believe in Christ’s final victory over death and in the promise of a new creation where God will dwell eternally with His people.
Biblical Basis
Daniel 12:2; John 5:28–29; John 11:25–26; 1 Corinthians 15:51–57; 2 Thessalonians 1:8–9; Revelation 20:11–15; Revelation 21:1–4.
Our Confession of Faith
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
